Episode Synopsis "Black History Month"

In 1969 black educators and students came up with the idea of a month to celebrate black culture. The idea was for it to be a month of rejoicing, celebrating & thanking black figures. A year later black history month was introduced to certain parts of the world: Currently it is celebrated in October in UK, Ireland and Netherlands and February in USA & Canada. This week we discuss Black History month and what it means to us, who the month is for and if we think it should even exist. You’ve read the description now there’s only 3 things left for you to do: give it a listen, subscribe for free then rate & review! PS: If you fancy being nosy and want to put faces to names follow us on Instagram @GenerationBrowne. Enjoy x,
