“Living Koinonia LivesAug 31st/Sept 1st “Others First” (life) Acts 2:42-47; Galatians 6:1-10. PJM mains; PBJ 9:00a FLC; 10:30a Sanct. As we begin our “Koinonia” sermon series, we are reminded that our life lived as Christian people is not lived for ourselves, but for others. This is a difficult truth for us to embrace because we’re raised to believe that “me first” is an acceptable mantra. And it would be acceptable...if we were just Americans. But we’re not just Americans, we’re American-Christians, or Christians who happen to live in America. As such, we can show a better way to those around us as we show them Jesus’ way by putting “Others First”. Yes, take care of yourself and take care of your family. We will remember today however, that as a Christian, we live like Jesus lived and consider the needs of “Others First”.
