Today, in our “God’s Light” sermon series, we encounter one of the more loved characters in the Christ-story, namely, the shepherds. But what do the shepherds tell us about the “Christ-story” and about “God’s Light”? This familiar part of the Christ-story reminds us that God’s love and God’s light is for everyone, not just a select few. The brilliant light of heaven which split the darkness that night on the hills of Bethlehem, was a wonderful image of God’s love splitting the darkness in the lives of all people..including people like you and me. “God’s Light Presented” reminds us that God’s love is presented to us!
