Listen "Apartheid museum in Johannesburg temporarily hosting O. R Tambo exhibition"
Episode Synopsis
In this week’s edition of Gateway to Africa, we visit the apartheid museum in Johannesburg which is temporarily hosting O. R Tambo exhibition. O. R Tambo was the leader of the liberation movement in exile before he died in 1993. He would have been 100 years this year had he lived. The exhibition chronicles his entire life and it is hoped it will travel around the world because O. R Tambo was world figure, known as a diplomat and a revolutionary. We also hear from one person who knew very well, his former bodyguard Kingsley Makhubela, now the CEO of Brand SA.
