As Storm Eunice battered the UK, it was a defiant gust from the North that caused havoc on the banks of the Thames on Saturday… A lapse in concentration and a soft penalty gave Huddersfield the advantage before half time, and despite a spirited 2nd half display from Fulham and a late BDR goal, the visitors gleefully left SW6 with 3 points. It was a meeting of 2 teams that were, at the time, undefeated in 2022 (Huddersfield are now unbeaten in 13) and it’s fair to say that Huddersfield put in a very good performance. It was an interesting, albeit frustrating, game with plenty of discussion points.
