With extensive experience across diverse settings, Kim’s visionary leadership made history when she and several of her colleagues established the Black Nurses of Southern Maryland (BNSMD) in 2012, becoming the first LPN to organize and serve as President of a local chapter within the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA). Her advocacy for LPNs continues through her previous role as the LPN Representative on the NBNA Board of Directors, serving two terms and as a Lifetime Member.
