She focused on realism, being particularly fond of the face. As she closed out her successful career, Mary pursued additional education for personal interests, obtaining a Masters and Doctorate of Liberal Arts. Mary's thesis on the intersection of religious study, history, and literature led her to create a website to aid in having a deeper understanding and broader interpretation of literature.
