In this episode, we read 2 Samuel chapters 12–14. After David’s sin with Bathsheba, the prophet Nathan confronts him, leading to David’s heartfelt repentance but also painful consequences within his family. The death of his child brings sorrow, yet the birth of Solomon points to God’s mercy and future promises. We then follow the tragic story of Amnon and Tamar, and Absalom’s eventual return to Jerusalem, setting the stage for greater conflict ahead. These chapters reveal both the seriousness of sin and the amazing grace of God in restoring the brokenhearted.
