You are equipped and wired with the ability to love others unconditionally because you have received the unconditional love of Christ. Love is the essence of your nature and journey in life. Your spiritual energy is received at new birth and may leak out if you live in error and imperfection. You can't be leaking or deflated and expected to catch up with Jesus, who is your joint-heir. No man goes far in life without abiding in the love, life and image of Christ. Note that no commandments and instructions from God are meant to destabilize or bring chaos to your life. You only prepare for who and what you love, and are indifferent to who and what you dislike. What do don't decide to become could lead you to errors and recklessness.
