This past Sunday the sermon topic chosen by Pastor Jeff was “Be Joyful.” What a timely word as often times we allow our attitude to be dependent on what is happening in our lives. Paul was in prison when he admonished us to Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice. Philippians 4:4 Pastor Jeff said, “Joy is expressed in spite of your situation, not because of your situation.” This “well” of joy is derived from activating God’s unfailing love through obedience. 2 John 1:6 And this is love that we walk in obedience to his commands. This is not a single event but a lifestyle for the children of God. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14 Selah
