I'm discovering that if we're open to God's hand we will experience constant pruning, this is the Gardener sanctifying us and cutting out every thing not producing good fruit. He is Lord, but He is also Abba (Father) and a good one at that. We have to surrender self-reliance and control just as constantly because "I" doing anything in my own strength will be unsustainable and burdensome. God is asking not that we burn myself out in preparation, but that we would rest in Him as He gives us everything we need to do what He's asked of us. He is in fact Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.
