Abinadi came among a people who had abandoned the true gospel of Jesus Christ. He taught the truth in purity and plainness, and although taken and placed in prison, he was not suffered to be put to death until he had accomplished his mission and declared his testimony.Throughout latter-day history, there have also been many who have sacrificed their lives for the gospel of Jesus Christ but one stands preeminent above all others.
