Nisan has the word "nes", the word we use at Chanukah for "miracle" embedded in the name of the month itself!  Do you recognized the phrase "nes gadol haya sham"..."a great MIRACLE happened there"?  Well...it's the SAME word!  Nes is at the essence and the "shoresh", or root, of the month Nisan! 
It is the month when Noach's Ark landed on Ararat, "the seventh month" [Genesis 8:4], it is the month when Esther went to seek the King's favor to save the Jewish people [Esther 3:7] and it is the month of the nation of Israel's birth.
We also explore the counting of the Tishrei-to-Elul year, where Yom Kippur is the climax of the Ten Days of Repentance that begin on Rosh HaShanah; on the Nissan-to-Adar calendar, Yom Kippur is the second “giving of the Torah,” culminating a 120-day process that begins on Shavuot. In the Tishrei-to-Elul year, the seventh day of Passover is the cosmic “birth of the souls,” following their “conception” on Shemini Atzeret, the eighth day of Sukkot; in the Nissan-to-Adar year, Passover is the first festival, commencing a cycle that culminates in Purim, “the last miracle” and the final frontier in our quest for connection with G‑d.
