What started out with her and her red salon chair on the side of highway exits giving free haircuts to individuals in need, has now grown into a non-profit offering volunteer opportunities and partnering with local community organizations as the Steller Kindness Project. In its first year of operating in 2019, the Steller Kindness Project enlisted hundreds of volunteers, packed hundreds of care packages for those in need, gave nearly a hundred free haircuts, and partnered with seven local non-profit organizations and homeless shelters.
