Though we no longer practice slavery in the United States, the Scriptures regarding the relationship between masters and servants applies to us in our occupational relationships. Employees should seek to serve their employers with respect, commitment and integrity. Likewise, employers should seek to treat their employees with the respect, commitment and integrity that they would desire to receive. If you were an employer, would you want to hire you? If you were an employee, would you want to work for you? We need to remember that we have a Heavenly Master that we should be desiring to serve and please, and to whom we shall give an account. ...
