We live in a fallen world, as such, daily we will encounter the fallen nature of man whether intentionally or not. People will hurt us, disappoint us and even cause us pain. It hurts more when it is coming from those also in the household of faith because we might find ourselves wondering how the Holy Spirit allowed the person to act in the manner that they did.
This episode gives us superior knowledge in handling offence generally, but particularly within the body of Christ because issues will always arise. The bible tells us that men will know that we are God's disciples by the love we have for each other. We must be true representatives of this love by choosing grace and mercy always.
