Listen "Jonah Series Part 4: Nobody Is Too Far Gone | 19/10/25"
Episode Synopsis
In this final instalment of our Jonah Series, youth ministry intern Jonah explores one of the most challenging aspects of the prophet's story: his anger at God's mercy. After Nineveh's miraculous repentance, Jonah responds with rage instead of celebration, revealing a heart consumed by selfishness and pride. Through the illustration of the plant that brought Jonah more joy than the salvation of 120,000 people, this message confronts our tendency to judge others as "too far gone" while forgetting our own need for grace. Discover how God's patience with a stubborn prophet mirrors His pursuit of each one of us, and why Jesus—unlike Jonah—didn't flee from His mission but went willingly to the cross. This sermon challenges us to examine who we might be writing off as unredeemable and reminds us that every person matters deeply to God, from the Ninevites to our difficult neighbours to ourselves.
