We love to hear statements that Jesus makes about loving and forgiving us and about coming to rescue us. We like the stories in scripture where Jesus speaks words of encouragement, acceptance and grace. But then there are those times where we read Jesus' words, and we think, "Hold on! What did He just say?" Sometimes Jesus says things that we would rather not hear, statements that challenge us or maybe even point out areas in our lives that need improvement. For the next several weeks at Flagstone we're going to be challenged to take a closer look at our hearts and actions by taking a look at statements that we kinda wish Jesus hadn't made.
