Listen "Smart Goals Template"
Episode Synopsis
Today, we're going to be going over the new Smart Goals Template.
It might be a good idea if you follow along with the slide.
OK, so writing smart goals. Let's set out how you do this. If we're looking at traditional smart goals' template, we are really talking about achieving 'things' in our life.
We want a particular thing that we go after as opposed to writing smart goals based on use-value.
Using the acronym that we went over last time which was V-A-L-I-D
OK, on the template, I selected two key components that were a little off the wall here. The first is I set as an outcome that I wanted to achieve $20,000 per month income.
It's important to understand that I have not selected this amount as if you were just making the standard smart goals template approach.
I had to come up with an example of a reward. I also selected something to do; that's a bit off the wall. I chose a stand-up comedian as my desired outcome.
OK, I'm not a stand-up comedian, but you can see what I did here. I wanted you to say to yourself...
"OK, if this is going to work for this, this is going to work for anything."
Now, just one of the things before we just get into this, I will be doing a podcast/video/post on the intuitive, creation process. That's the process that you're going to be using to come up with this core thing that you really want to do that's within you This is the thing that you wish to get out and share with the world, as it were.
Let's kick this off by getting to the first letter of our acronym.
Value - Validity.
We are going to fill out this box, and we ask these three questions.
Why do we do this?
What is the purpose?
What is my reasoning?
See, on the template I wrote,
I want to make people laugh.
I want to show that humour is good for the mind, body and soul.
I think the world right now would benefit from some laughter.
So straight off from here, remember, this is all fictitious. I'm writing this as if this was my goal. This gives you an idea of how versatile and powerful this is.
