Listen "The Falklands Way of Life Ep. 3: Rapid Change"
Episode Synopsis
The way of life in the Falklands, a remote British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic, has changed massively over the past two hundred years. From an isolated archipelago full of sheep farmers on the brink of destitution, the islands are now a prosperous and diverse quasi-nation, with many, if not most, of the comforts of modern life.
This episode of the Falklands Way of Life looks at the rapid changes that occurred after the 1982 Falklands War, and the newfound prosperity of the islands, from the perspectives of islanders who lived through that period.
