Listen "Featured interview: José Ignacio Torreblanca"
Episode Synopsis
Spain is facing political uncertainty today as no single party was able to win enough votes to form a government after yesterday's election. The prime minister's central left party won 122 seats, while the main opposition party is on course to win 136. Neither is close to the 176 seats needed to govern alone, which means weeks of painful political negotiations. Joining the show to explain what we can expect next is José Ignacio Torreblanca, a senior policy fellow and head of the Madrid office of the European Council on Foreign Relations.
