Listen "Featured interview: Amazon SVP John Felton"
Episode Synopsis
Amazon addicts are furiously scouring their screens as the annual one-day Prime shopping event gets underway. Last year, 200 million Prime members worldwide bought over 300 million items. How does Amazon's workforce handle all those orders? Robots! In 2022, one billion packages making up an eighth of all orders worldwide were sorted by a robot. Logistics also play a crucial part in the company's operations as it integrates artificial intelligence further into the business. It's also managing a multitude of other changes including reducing its head count post-pandemic. Joining Julia to discuss is Amazon Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations John Felton.
