Listen "Fearless - Part 1"
Episode Synopsis
The most frequently-repeated command in Scripture is some version of “Fear not.” That’s especially appropriate in a time when Americans are gripped by fear—our political rhetoric on both sides of the aisle is full of fearful language. Young people struggle with rampant anxiety, while older adults worry about the world they are leaving to their children. How can we possibly obey the command to “fear not”? This series explores how, and what a fearless life would actually look like.
On the first resurrection Sunday, the disciples were sitting terrified behind a locked door. Then Christ showed up and took away their fears. He didn’t change their circumstances, but He showed them who was in charge. Will we ask Jesus to come into our fearful circumstances and bring us peace? Or will we insist on holding our fear and doubt like Thomas?
