Listen "Love Sometimes Breaks the Rules"
Episode Synopsis
This Week: Why did God allow the killing of innocent children in the Old Testament?
This week we’re talking about another difficult real question. What do we do with the stories of God allowing or commanding the deaths of children of enemy nations in the Old Testament? In the face of this difficult question, we’ll hear about a surprising principle – the virtue of disobedience. Join us as we read the stories of people who stood up to Pharaoh in the face of unjust policies.
Sermon Series: Real Questions
People have plenty of questions, but the church doesn’t always feel like a safe place to ask them. In Real Questions, we will engage with real faith questions submitted from our community. Some of the questions might seem irreverent and you might wonder if it’s okay to talk about. If we only answer safe questions, we aren’t actually safe for questions. There aren’t always easy answers, but there is always an opportunity to grow and find God in the midst of life’s questions.
Sermon preached by Dallas Flippin, on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Jackson, MI.
