Listen "Stepping into Spring with Neil Zworth, Phyllis Newman & Steve Koven"
Episode Synopsis
On this episode of Finding Your Bliss, we are so excited for the first day of Spring!! We’re celebrating it by doing a whole show on getting into shape with Personal Fitness Coach Neil Zworth, and his custom tailored programs at Ndorphin Attainable Fitness, that are specifically designed for men and women over 50.
Neil Zworth is a Certified Personal Training specialist, and indoor cycling and boot camp instructor with a passion for helping individuals, in mid-life and beyond, to meet their health and fitness goals. After decades of running – from 5k’s to marathons – he realized in “later life” the importance of a balanced exercise program for injury prevention and management. Neil develops programs that meet individuals’ specific objectives, in a manner that fits their schedule, with a focus on injury prevention and life-long adventure.
And Phyllis Newman who was the producer on the first season of this show, has gotten into great shape, thanks to Neil!
Phyllis Newman is a creative media veteran - having spent over 25 years working as a Show runner, Development Producer, Writer and Media Consultant on numerous television and digital series. Phyllis has achieved great success in producing highly-rated Canadian and international television programs and formats. Phyllis has worked as a casting director, talent agent and is also a College Instructor at the Toronto Film School teaching Factual Entertainment to aspiring content creators. Also, this week’s Featured Artist is Jazz Musician and Composer Steve Koven with his latest album LOVE! In 1993 he established the Steve Koven Trio. Touring the world for more than two decades, they have been coined as ‘Canadian Cultural Ambassadors’. Steve’s discography includes 15 albums (including Judy’s favourite: The Koven Collective) and dozens of Steve’s compositions have been licensed for national and international film and television productions. As an educator, Steve has been teaching in the Faculty of Music at Toronto’s York University since 2003, teaching Contemporary Improvisation and Jazz Piano Studies. In addition, Steve teaches in the Music Department at Centennial College in Toronto. He is also an award-winning filmmaker, receiving first prize for his documentary, 20, in the 2015 Toronto Independent Film Festival and for his documentary, Improvisation in the 2018 Toronto Short Film Festival.
