Martin introduces another great first year student, Sam Clark. Sam is a keen reviewer, and has chosen three films from cinemas and IPlayer that circulated last month (Feb. 2022) and will let us know if they are worth catching. More info on the three films below. Sam also shares a little about meeting high priest of popular film critics, Mark Kermode!

Sam speaks about:
The Souvenir (Joanna Hogg, 2019) - released on BBC iPlayer to coincide with the cinema release of its 2022 follow-up, the fantastically well-reviewed The Souvenir Part II (the Sight and Sound magazine film of the year). The Souvenir Part II will soon be on BFI Player. https://admin.player.bfi.org.uk/rentals/film/watch-the-souvenir-2018-online - https://www2.bfi.org.uk/films-tv-people/5e8511c9dbdbd
Moonfall (Roland Emmerich, 2022) - the latest sci-fi/disaster hybrid from Roland Emmerich. Sam thought that it was less than meets the eye. At IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5834426/
Uncharted (Ruben Fleischer, 2022) - a fun and long-in-the-making video game adaptation from the director of Venom and Zombieland. There are shades of classic adventures like Raiders of the Lost Ark about this film. At IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1464335/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
Thanks, Sam. Enjoy this episode! More will follow later in 2022.
