Listen "Beyond India’s elections"
Episode Synopsis
Indians took to the polls last week in the world’s largest election where 642 million votes were cast. Modi’s BJP-led alliance won by a thin majority after which markets saw the Nifty 50 to dip (and then bounce back). But is this all just short-term noise when there are long-term opportunities to be found? In this month’s episode Amit Goel, Portfolio Manager for the Fidelity India and Global Emerging Markets Funds (ASX:FIIN and ASX:FEMX) discusses some of these, including the shift to India for global supply chains and the rise of the domestic consumer of India. We’re also really excited to let you know we recently won the Financial Standard MAX Awards Podcast of the Year 2024! Congratulations to Lukasz and the team.
