It's tempting to look at the story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee and assume that Jesus will calm any storm in your life. Any headache? Despair? Anxiety? Grief? Yes, Jesus can calm it, but that doesn't mean He will. The disciples were afraid because they didn't realize that Jesus, God in the flesh, was in the boat with them. Next time you think God doesn't care about what you're going through, remember that He is good and He is with you. He is drawing you closer and preparing for eternal life with Him.
