But 1994 was the year that Greg Garing, young but already a veteran musician who'd played with legends like Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, John Hartford and many more, emerged at the forefront of a band of insurgent musicians who were out to reclaim the lost soul of classic Nashville country music. Staking out the back room at Tootsie's, Greg proceeded to launch a live music revolution that included fellow travellers BR-549 and others, and soon the crowds were flocking to lower Broadway once again. Of course, no one could imagine that it would turn into what it has now become.
