Listen "Sabbath Rest"
Episode Synopsis
When God calls us into a Sabbath rest…He isn’t telling us to not lift a finger; to not work at the life.
No!
What He is calling us to is to cease from striving to make ourself righteous, to cease from striving to earn our way back to God, to cease trying to work our way to salvation…because it can’t be done.
He’s calling us into a rest by accepting the gift of Grace that is brought by the blood of Jesus Christ.
He freely gives it His Son and His atonement to us.
It is a gift.
You cannot earn it.
You cannot by it.
You cannot work for it.
But you can receive it.
I pray you make this the day that you cease from your works and begin believing in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
And then I hope you know that God is not resting on you and your life, with its trials and struggles—but is always at work for your good.
God bless.
