Send us a textIn this episode, I sit with Dr. Cindi Cassady, a clinical psychologist, to discuss childhood trauma, attachment styles, and diverse therapy options that exist for various needs. She has worked for over 35 years as a practitioner and scholar in the field of gender- based violence, child abuse, addiction and trauma. She holds a Ph.D. and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. She has been living in Rwanda for almost 10 years and is currently a senior clinical psychologist working with trauma and addiction at Centre Icyizere and Ndera Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Kigali. She is also a visual artist and the recurring themes of her works focus on women and children, and the important role women play in society and the family.I enjoyed her input of the ongoing discoveries in the field of psychology and the new developments that exist in treating clinical depression using ketamine and psychedelics.I hope you enjoy the episode!
