In 1996, at just fifteen years old, John Greenewald, Jr. began investigating the U.S. government's secret operations, targeting agencies like the CIA, FBI, Pentagon, Air Force, and NSA. Using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), he accessed thousands of documents on topics such as UFOs, the JFK assassination, chemical and nuclear weapons, and top-secret aircraft. Over time, Greenewald's research grew into The Black Vault, the world's largest private online archive of declassified government materials, with nearly 1.5 million pages.
