In this last verse of this smaller section comprised of vv. 14-17 of Ephesians 6, we remember that We must use each piece of equipment that God has given us with the knowledge of its function and purpose.
We saw that 1) There is a MANDATE to wear the armor. And 2) There is a METHOD to wear the armor. With this second point we see that a) There is an emphasis on the believer’s responsibility (this is the donning of each piece, which we finish in this episode), and b) There is an emphasis on the present aspect to the battle at hand.
