Listen "Naaman’s River, Gehazi’s Regret EP. 241"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, I explore the powerful story of Naaman and Gehazi to unpack the contrast between true godliness and the deception of shallow religion. Naaman was a high-ranking military leader, admired and successful but he was also a leper. His healing journey reminds us that God's way often defies human expectations, demanding humility over pride, obedience over spectacle. Naaman had to let go of his ego and dip seven times in a river that, to him, seemed beneath his station. But when he surrendered to God’s will, he received healing far beyond the physical. In contrast, Gehazi, who should have known better, allowed greed and compromise to steal his blessing. Despite being in the inner religious circle, his heart wasn’t truly surrendered to God. This episode calls us to ask: are we living out a faith that looks godly or one that is godly?God’s plan may seem simple, even odd, but it’s the only way to true transformation. Whether you’re at a crossroads in life or needing a reminder of why humility matters, this message challenges you to surrender, trust, and follow the shape God wants for your life.
