Jim Wetherbe has been a professor on management information systems for more than 40 years. A highly sought-after speaker who has delivered more than 1,000 speeches worldwide, he has written hundred of academic articles and authored or co-authored 40 books. Jim has also been teaching at Texas Tech University since 2000 and has served as a board director at a number of companies, including consumer electronics giant Best Buy and CIBER.

Since 2012, the distinguished professor has been helping the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas reinvent the staid academic journal. The vehicle: an online academic journal called Entrepreneur & Innovation Exchange. It is a free resource written for entrepreneurs – not just professors – whose online readership has grown to 5 million viewers a year.
