Lisa speaks with two librarians about a number of bookish topics including Book TikTok, and all of the fun and cool things at the libraries. For instance, the Fowlersville Library in Michigan is known for its taxidermy and Johnson County Public Library offers sewing machines and free faxing. Lisa and Storm Kopitsch, youth services coordinator for the Fowlerville, Michigan Library talk about Book Tok and her library’s One Star TikTok videos. The library had 46,000 followers on TikTok when Lisa and Storm spoke in December. As of January 2022, it has nearly 70,000 followers and 1 million people have liked their videos. The library recently posted this video highlighting all of the fun things you can do at the library. Also, Lisa and Erin Cataldi, a librarian in Indiana, who writes reviews that you can find here, discuss some cool aspects of libraries. For instance, in many libraries you can fax items for free and get sewing kits for free.
