Breaking down the 23rd Psalm line upon line.   

A boast saying that we belong to Him! 
1. I belong to Him because He created me to love me 
2. I belong to Him because He bought me with a price (laid down His life) 
3. I belong to Him because He continues to lay down Himself for me. Guides us, talks to God on our behalf, and cares for us.  
Sheep were marked with the mark of their owner so that they could be distinguished from other sheep. Are you marked?   

I shall not want…. 
He cares for every part of our well-being. We are dependent upon Him and nothing else. 
“I am completely satisfied with His management in my life.” I am contented, well fed, safe, and flourishing under His care.
