Reunión de CAUZA en Villa de Cura: La comunidad musical de Zamora alza su voz en defensa de la SACVEN
La Casa de la Cultura de Villa de Cura, en el municipio Zamora del estado Aragua, fue el escenario de un importante encuentro para la comunidad artística local. Compositores, autores y músicos, miembros del Círculo de Autores y Compositores Unidos de Zamora (CAUZA), presidida por: Lucio Seijas, José Medrano, leo Villalonga Moisés Rondon se dieron cita para discutir una problemática que afecta profundamente a la Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de Venezuela (SACVEN) y, por ende, a sus afiliados.
El motivo central de la reunión fue expresar el firme apoyo de la gran mayoría de los socios de SACVEN al legítimo vicepresidente de la institución, el reconocido músico, artista y profesor Jesús "Chucho" Acevedo. Tras el lamentable fallecimiento del presidente, Mani Delgado; los estatutos de SACVEN establecen claramente que el vicepresidente en ejercicio debe asumir la dirección, junto a su directiva, hasta la celebración de nuevas elecciones.
Sin embargo, un grupo que formaba parte de la administración , ha tomado acciones que impiden el normal funcionamiento de la sociedad y el ascenso de "Chucho" Acevedo a la presidencia interina. A través de interpretaciones legales cuestionables y maniobras que no respetan los estatutos, este grupo ha generado un caos administrativo que perjudica directamente a los socios.
La paralización de los beneficios sociales, la dificultad para acceder a la asistencia médica y de medicamentos, y la suspensión de nuevas inscripciones son solo algunas de las consecuencias de esta situación irregular. Los creadores, quienes con sus obras sostienen la labor de la sociedad de gestión colectiva, se ven impedidos de recibir los frutos de su trabajo y la protección que SACVEN debería brindarles.
Ante esta grave situación, autores, compositores y artistas de toda Venezuela se están organizando y reuniendo en sus respectivas localidades para manifestar su apoyo al cumplimiento de los estatutos y al ejercicio del cargo por parte del maestro Jesús "Chucho" Acevedo. La comunidad musical de Zamora no es la excepción, y este encuentro en la Casa de la Cultura es un claro ejemplo de su compromiso con la legalidad y el bienestar de sus miembros.
En un momento especialmente complejo para Venezuela, tanto en lo económico como en lo institucional, la defensa de los derechos de los creadores y el respeto a los estatutos de sus organizaciones es fundamental. Music Rises! Composers of Zamora Defend SACVEN and Its Statutes
The House of Culture in Villa de Cura, in the Zamora municipality of Aragua state, was the setting for an important meeting for the local artistic community. Composers, authors, and musicians, all members of the Circle of United Authors and Composers of Zamora (CAUZA), gathered to discuss a problem that profoundly affects the Venezuelan Society of Authors and Composers (SACVEN) and, by extension, its members.
The central purpose of the meeting was to express the firm support of the vast majority of SACVEN members for the legitimate vice president of the institution, the renowned musician, artist, and professor Jesús “Chucho” Acevedo. In the face of this serious situation, authors, composers, and artists throughout Venezuela are organizing and meeting in their respective locations to show their support for upholding the statutes and for Professor Jesús "Chucho" Acevedo to assume his role. The musical community of Zamora is no exception, and this meeting at the House of Culture is a clear example of its commitment to legality and the well-being of its members.
At a particularly complex time for Venezuela, both economically and institutionally, the defense of creators' rights and respect for the statutes of their organizations is fundamental.
