Proverbs, 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
First, we need to admit that we are struggling with letting go of our child or children. When they were young, we were the problem solver. The challenge in those times is to first admit that I want to take control, and then accept that it is not up to me to control anything in their lives now.
