We often feel that we are a burden or we are overloading everyone else's plates by sharing our struggles and asking for help. When we ask for help we are typically in a vulnerable state which is not always a comfortable feeling. However, we wouldn't bat an eye at our close friend or family member as they ask for a favor so why do we feel this way? Typically this stems from social constructs or the manner in which our parents raised us, but regardless of the origins we need to understand that they are incorrect. Everyone needs help at some point in their lives, and it's okay to reach out to those close to you. This is especially true if you begin to have dark thoughts and find yourself in a lonely and closed off space. To avoid getting to that place or to get out of that place reach out to someone and return the favor to others in need. Mental health is a massive part of our health and wellness and we need to start giving it the attention it deserves. For professional online help feel free to reach out to Better Help or any local professional that works in the mental health field. Do everything with good intentions and connect to your elements!Disclaimer:This podcast is for...
