Listen "#224 SOUL IN TRANSITION"
Episode Synopsis
This week’s ElecSoul moves through soul, jazz, and house, blending past and present.
There’s music from Marvin Gaye, Braxton Cook, and Ash Lauryn, plus a tribute to Gwen McCrae, who passed away on February 21, 2025. Her impact on soul and dance music is huge, so I’ve included Doin' It (Joey Negro remix) and Funky Sensation to celebrate her legacy.
Closing the show is Mirage by Fouk, which was also the final track of my warm-up set for Todd Edwards at Daya Brewery in Cheltenham. A proper groove to end on.
Also, if you're in Gloucestershire, I’ll be playing live at Stroud Brewery on 28 February in aid of Sunflowers Suicide Support. Some tickets are still available—come down, support a great cause, and catch some deep grooves. More info here: https://stroudbrewery.com/pages/music-events
