Listen "Creating a New Normal for My Family"
Episode Synopsis
In Episode 5, our guest Danny gives us details about how students at UC Santa Barbara are adapting to the "Distance Learning" method. Jimenez, a dual major undergrad talks to us about his experience at Grant Union High School in Del Paso Heights, Sacramento, Ca. Danny attributes his recent success and accomplishments to his family, his teachers and support staff in high school and his drive to play soccer. What he believes helped him finish high school and pursue higher education. One of 6 siblings, Danny highlights that his older sister (a UC Merced graduate) paved the way to college for him and he wants to make this a normal thing for his younger brothers to follow. He is a member of the Latino Business Association at UCSB and is eager to pursue an MBA at UC Irvine or Pepperdine. He wants future generations to utilize local resources, support staff and programs in high school to reach their full potential.
