His economics PhD was in the field of finance, and he was such a brilliant student that Nobel Laureate, Robert Merton, hired him as his research assistant. Jonathan worked on Wall Street and in Newport, CA managing money for high-wealth families and developing investment strategies for Wall Street clients.
