Nicole Pallares Ferrer, from Panama, graduated in Digital Media Design for Learning with a concentration in games for learning. She is passionate and experienced on the use of new media and games for behavioural change and social inclusion.
Before joining the International Training Centre of the ILO in 2021, she worked as digital pedagogical specialist in Italy, United States, and Ecuador where she gained experience as an instructional designer, gamification design in learning, quality assurance, facilitation of online and face-to-face trainings, applied research methods, augmented, virtual and mixed reality for education and MOOCs.
She currently is a Learning Innovation Junior Programme Officer helping in the grading up the staff capacity with state-of-the-art learning design and technology, further rollout and scaling up the Centre’s augmented reality and virtual reality portfolio and coordinates as well as provides support to the KGRTC project in Zambia and more. She has multiple years’ experience of working in multicultural settings. She fluently speaks Spanish, Italian and English.
