Listen "36: Increasing Connection Not Divorce In Quarantine"
Episode Synopsis
Our way of life has drastically changed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Couples are spending more time together than ever before. Juggling a 40-hour workweek, caring for school-aged children, and dealing with confinement and uncertainty in the marketplace is stressful. Recent reports out of China indicate that divorce rates have skyrocketed after the quarantine. It's not surprising that prolonged periods together could make or break a relationship, especially because traditional stress relievers like going to the gym are not an option. In this episode of the podcast, we take a look at how to increase connection, not divorce, while in quarantine. We will explore three hot button topics for couples, (1) Communication, (2) Sex/Intimacy, and (3) Relationship BackStory. To help us break this subject down, I invited my husband, Horatio Neely, to the show. Together we will discuss the challenges we face and the tools we use to help us stay connected in quarantine.Mentioned during the show/resources:Horatio Neely https://twitter.com/Horatio757Five Love Languages https://www.amazon.com/Love-Languages-Secret-that-Lasts/dp/080241270XDrop The BS Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/dropthebspodcast/Psychology Today https://www.psychologytoday.com/Drop the BS Podcast Page www.dropthebspodcast.com
