Community interpreting is mostly consecutive interpreting but may be a blend of simultaneous, whispered, and bilateral. Community interpreting is typically performed at courts, police stations, hospitals and immigration centers. This mode of interpreting require strong interpersonal and inter-cultural skills. Community interpreting also requires very high level of confidentiality and therefore community interpreters are often expected to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement).Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/dragoman-transcreation--4083088/support.
