Listen "2009 MLB Draft"
Episode Synopsis
It was the summer of 2009. Hosts John Fleming and Jason Bradshaw had just met each other the semester before at The Truman State University, the Black Eyed Peas were somehow the biggest band in the world, and an amateur pitcher out of San Diego had gone from high school afterthought to the most celebrated college baseball player in a generation. In the first televised Major League Baseball draft, it was Stephen Strasburg that defined the event that night, but it was a young outfielder out of Millville, NJ who attended the ceremony that would define the draft for history.
In the latest edition of Draft Day, the duo start off by discussing grocery store etiquette and play a game of trivia completely unrelated to sports or drafts, and at 15:15, select their top twenty players from the 2009 MLB Draft.
