While many around you may be immersed in the joy of Christmas, you might contemplate your life and circumstances, observing the pain and suffering in the world without finding a reason to be joyful. However, this perspective overlooks the essence of advent and the heart of Christmas. Advent prompts us to recognize the brokenness within and around us, serving as a reminder of our need for a savior. When we shift our focus from our present suffering to God's promise of salvation and Jesus' return to renew all things, our hearts are instantly filled with enduring joy. This Christian joy, born from the assurance that Christ is always with us, sustains and uplifts us.
