On the Down to Earth Bible Study podcast, we take the characters in The Bible down from the pedestal and try to see the stories and events through their real, human eyes. James 5:17 says Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. What was so special about Elijah was that he trusted God to work through him.
