The Israelites were trapped in Egypt for 430 years. Most of that time was spent in bondage, in slavery. After the final plague, Pharaoh finally let them go. The Israelites, foreign people, and even some Egyptians left Egypt in a mass exodus and God saved them all.
And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked.Exodus 12:36
